Works well, but did not expect bulk packaging, listing pic is wrongNov 02, 2011
By MidnightRunner I ordered this from Louisville Mill after a I had a really bad experience with AllergyBeGone (which shipped me a dirty and clearly used and abused respirator). The respirator from Louisville Mill is new however, but shipped in bulk packaging which is just a plastic bag with a draw string closure - so not typical retail packaging. Since the packaging just an unsealed bag there is no way to know it was not some return (though the one I received from Louisville Mill does appear new with a thin layer of talc). I was expecting a respirator in the retail bubble pack, but I will still keep and use the one I received since I am confident it is new - though I wish they would specify that it is bulk packaging (so minus one star). Also the pic is wrong which is why I dropped another star - this is the standard respirator with the valve in front and no downward vent like in the pic. The downward vent is good if it is being used with a welding mask - to keep it from fogging up. I believe that the model with the downward vent is the 6300DD. This is a decent respirator for the money, but not spectacular and not what is shown in the pic. Also, not all 3M filters work with all 3M respirators so make sure to get ones that work with this series.

By KRASSEL This mask is very comfortable to wear, even for long periods of time in the shop. I really appreciate the fact that it does not fog my glasses and fits comfortably over my beard. Haven't had any problems with the straps and after a few minutes I barely notice that I'm wearing the mask. It is much more comfortable than the cheap dust mask's with the rubber band straps. I find that the filters last a good long time and can be blown out with the air chuck. Since I use a lot of exotic woods in my small shop this mask could literally be a life saver. Highly recommend.

safety maskMay 09, 2009
By Steven Dustin I have had this brand mask for many years and it always provides a high degree of reassurance that I am being protected from dust. The filters and chemical cartridges are easy to change. The benefits are noticeable and immediate upon use each day. The rubber mask outlasts the headpiece elastic. However 3M has available all spare and replacement parts for this respirator.

No fogJan 12, 2011
By minmn I work in my unheated wood shop all winter and use this mask when turning on the lathe. The piece fits snug agains the chin and nose, resting far enought down that I can still wear my glasses and safety glasses. More importantly, with the good fit and side expelled air, my glasses don't fog over and I always have a clean view of my work.
Well worth the money and the P100 filters trap sawdust as fine as corn starch!

Works great!Jan 04, 2010
By VitaminZinc I picked this up to keep from inhaling sawdust and paint fumes.
I find it hard to buy things like this online since it's hard to get a feel for how it will feel/look.
I did eventually buy this from Amazon and it fits great. I was worried about it fitting correctly, or being too awkward. It fits snuggly over my nose and mouth and doesn't have any gaps (which would make the product kind of useless).
It's also not too heavy if you're not attaching the thick charcoal filters--but, it has a nice head strap to keep it on even if you do happen to attach the heavier filters.
It even comes with a plastic pull-tie bag to store it in when you're not using it. Not really a necessary thing, but a nice gesture nonetheless.
