5Bench Hold DownFeb 08, 2008
By Stephen K. Moss "Lupgaru"
To anyone that does any woodwork with handtools knows you need a good workbench. This hold down is perfect for work with hand planes.
My order arrived on time and in perfect condition, it is already in action on my bench.
Great product and would recommend it to any and all Craftsmen.

5Surprisingly effectiveNov 09, 2009
By Double doc
After purchasing a pair of these i read in a workbench book that most of the current crop of clamps of this type do not work well. Both of these Jorgensen clamps work great. Put a board under the clamp and hit it 2-3 times with a mallet and the board is secured solid. To release, just tap on the back. My wife came in at some point and i had her try it. Though she is not very skilled at these carpentry matters, it worked! I suppose some clever blacksmith invented these shortly after the beginning of the iron age and they're still the best way to clamp stuff.

5Another Nifty AidOct 13, 2011

Jorgensen Hold Down Clamps Are a Simple & Perfect accessory for my recently built Wood Worker Bench. The enamel finish makes them durable and easy to keep clean. Simplicity is neat!

2Too shortMar 07, 2011
By S. Ferguson

Well made but way to short to be effective in my bench (bench thickness approx. 3.5 inches). Would recommend purchasing the longer one if you want a hold down clamp.

I am unable to get this holdfast to grip and hold anything. I find it unusable.
