Awesome stone!Oct 08, 2008
By Wood Wizard I have been a carpenter for almost 12 years. The first 6 years were mainly rough carpentry and my stone of choice was an oil stone. I have since moved on to finish carpentry and woodworking. Razor sharp chisels and planes are a must now! And this combination stone, along with a 1000-6000 grit waterstone, produce mirror sharp edges that last a long time. And, unlike an oil stone, waterstones can be honed flat again and cut the metal much faster. And you don't have to worry about the stone cloging.

I feel so accomplished!Mar 18, 2011
By Gemma Bond I've had my trusty chef's knife for over 12 years and had never had it sharpened. I was considering taking it to a professional when I watched a video on the Rouxbe.com cooking school that gives full instructions on how to sharpen your own knives at home. It seemed completely do-able. This whetstone was a little cheaper than the price I was quoted for sharpening JUST my chef's knife and now I have a house full of properly sharpened knives and a wonderful sense of accomplishment and frugality. I don't know why everyone doesn't do this, it was so simple!
good item amazing speed of deliveryJul 23, 2010
By NU Matthew Well the product is exactly what you expect-a high quality stone for high end blades. I used it for basic sharpening of my straight razor. But what was truly remarkable was that the order arrived at my house a day and a half after I placed the order-and I chose the standard 3-5 day. Sooooo good job, easy to use, and great seller.
