I was looking for a premium router top that would not break my budget. This Phenolic Top was my choice.
I wanted to know for sure that when I was routing that my boards would not move or be anything but perfect.
I also wanted to make a purchase that would last a long time. You know spending this much one year and turning around the next year and buying another one is not my style, I want something that lasts.
This router top has 3/4" of premium phenolic material. This material is pretty much indestructible.
The surface is made of very smooth material, which allows for a very smooth feed, no jerky router pieces.
I also wanted a solid one piece accessory guide for miter guages and feather boards. This top has a one piece aluminum track. The whole track system is very quick and easy to use. Just what I wanted.
This Phenolic Top is as it was described from the manufacturer, Premium.
I did have a little trouble with the 10 point leveling system, but after figuring out how it works, I am very pleased with the accuracy and versatility.
Also I thought the Pro-plate should have been included in the router top system. It was stated in the description that it was not included, I missed it, and so I had to wait a few more days to assemble it. Overall a Premium Router Top.
