beyond a chainsawSep 04, 2010 I own the regular pole-less B&D cordless chainsaw. I needed something to address some tree branches that were touching the house, however, so I got this pole saw. Now I almost prefer it to the chainsaw as it is so much more versatile. You have to oil it by hand, but it's very easy to use. Just set it on top with the bottom bumper on the branch and press the button. It just falls through the branch. I'm trying to cut back a bunch of invasive Chinese privet bushes, and this thing rocks. It allows you to cut from a nice distance. You don't have to chop your way in or climb into the bush to get at the good stuff. It's pretty rugged and lightweight. Fun to use, even.
Does the job - worth the priceAug 30, 2010 I bought this saw to trim a tree in the front yard of my rental house. The renters were complaining that the branches were hanging too low and scraping the top of their SUV. This saw was easy to put together and easy enough to use. Don't expect a professional looking job though. It was hard to get a clean cut on every branch, especially the smaller ones. Ideal for cutting branches a inch to two inches thick, which is really all I needed it for. Overall, great tool, that did a great job.
Use this to stay off ladders.Aug 23, 2010 We have a very large Oak tree growing next to the house and I needed to trim high branches that were too close to the house, creating a fire hazard. This tool worked perfectly, allowing me to safetly cut the branches from the deck instead of trying to work from a ladder with a chain saw.
I highly recommend purchasing an extra battery; working on large branches dishcarges the battery pretty quickly. Using two batteries, I was able to do everything I wanted to in about 1 1/2 hours.
pole chainsawAug 21, 2010 The B & D pole chainsaw cordless work great. However, I wish that it could be used a a regular chainsaw without the six-foot pole attached
B&D Electric Pole Chain SawAug 19, 2010 I LOVE this saw. It has done everything I have asked of it including taking down a tree with a six inch trunk.
