outstanding for motorcycling at nightSep 23, 2009

i've been using these when riding my motorcycle back from work every night. they've got remarkably good optical quality, both in the clear section and in the magnified. and i was quite surprised to find that they didn't scratch *at all* while living in the cordura nylon pocket of my aerostich riding suit.
they provide good wind protection up to 65 mph w/ the helmet's faceshield open, and their ANSI Z87+ rating means they should withstand the impact of a 1/4" steel ball at that speed. the magnifying insert makes it easy to read the odometer on my aprilia tuono, as well as the fine print on maps, manuals, and (sadly) official california highway patrol "spirited driving" awards.
they're a bargain and an excellent product. highly recommended.

Unbelievably high qualityJun 28, 2011
By J. C. Danko I stumbled onto these while trying different bifocal readers. About age 65 my near-sighted condition and astigmatism changed to the point that I did not require expensive tri-focal glasses. I was really fed up with using giant goggles over my prescription glasses. Everything I tried sold in stores was unusable or extremely scratch-prone or breakable. I tried many different readers and finally settled on these for driving, outdoor and safety use. Now I can be outside, read and not look like a freak. I have been using the Crews Bearkat gray bifocal 2.0 glasses for a couple years. They are comfortable, stylish, scratch resistant and virtually indestructible. And they are dirt cheap. I keep one in each car and in the house and I have a couple clear ones for actual safety use. IMHO these are the best sunglasses you can buy and they go for less than $10. Makes you wonder what's going on with companies that peddle crappy sunglasses and readers for $25 and a lot more.
wrong image with product made me buy something I did not needSep 13, 2009

if you look at the image of this item, you think you are buying sun glasses with a reading lens.
Wrong, you are buying a clear lens (as it says in the product description)with a reading lens.
I will use it for the finer handy man chores around the house, but using it while on holiday reading in the sun, I could not.
bummer.
For the rest good product. does what it says it does.
