Awesome ItemOct 14, 2011
By E. Larson Rather expensive at first blush, however when you consider the alternatives it's pretty reasonable. Used with a Festool plunge saw this allows you to cut up to 9 foot long sheet goods very accurately, cleanly and safely, or shorter pieces on a diagonal. While you could do the same on a sliding tablesaw such a saw would cost many times what the track saw setup would and would require a huge amount of dedicated floor space. This is far better than trying to fit multiple shorter track segments together from every aspect except being easy to take it to a job site.
The guide was shipped in a useful wooden/masonite box that seems to offer good protection against bending. I'll be storing mine in the shipping box to protect it.
