This is a great product for the price. You will need to lap the sole and the iron (or you can simply buy a Lie-Nelsen iron for about $45). Once you have tuned the plane, it performs very well as a finish plane on medium-sized projects. I would recommend it for the price. If you have $300 + to spend on a high-end plane, do it; if not, the Anant works very well.
