Slipit lubricant is a multi-task winner.Dec 22, 2008

I seldom rave about a product but Slipit is an excellent multi-purpose lubricant that I've used on any combo of metal, plastic, and wood. Around the house we use it to cure sticky windows, to protect tools, on snowshovels and mower and saw blades, and even on squeeky hinges. We use it on our sailboat to protect stainless and lubricate the sailtrack. While the spray options are convenient we prefer to take the extra time to use the gel form. Aside from the Amazon source, you can also buy it from the Slipit website. It's not really available in many retail stores. It does cost a little more but I think its worth it. I saw it used on one of the "This Old House-type" programs.
