Good flex shaft, great service.Aug 02, 2009

"super nerd"
When I first received my Grizzly flex shaft grinder, the box was battered and several parts were missing. After a short customer service email, Grizzly shipped me a new replacement free of charge, without even requiring me to return the damaged one. I'm impressed with the quality of service.
As for the grinder itself, everything works pretty well. The foot switch gives good response for controlling speed, and the chuck holds very small bits. The power of the motor seems to be fine for normal use. My only complaint is that opening and closing the chuck jaws is a bit clunky, but it gets the job done. I just wish the "H0756 Carving Handpiece" was still available so that I could use it with a set of chisel attachments.

Top Notch DremalMay 27, 2008
By Lisa Rogers This product is great for any skill level to use. It has great speed control. I can adjust it for very slow speeds to drill or etch glass& tile or to a high speed to drill or polishing on metal or other materials. I make jewelry and this is the best dermal I have ever used.

Wow great customer serviceJan 06, 2010

"Because I said so!"
The unit arrived fast and looked good. Worked for an hour then the whole chuck started falling out. I called Grizzly they gave me a RA # and said they would also pay the shipping if I tossed the reciept into the box. Wow! I grabbed a dead blow hammer and hit the chuck into the hand piece a few times hard. I think that did it, worked for 3 hours after that with a rasp so I would think its good to go. Ended up not having to send it in after all.
Its smooth, and the foot pedal makes it a dream compared to my dremel.

my first flex shaft, and I'm gladDec 18, 2011
By Shawn Billington I would have liked to have gotten a Foredom right off the bat, but they cost so much and I wasn't sure I would use one enough to justify that. Hopefully for four or five times as much the other one does something better somehow, but this one seems just fine, especially for the price. The motor seems to be good and strong, and would run until I thought the origonal handpiece was going to set my hand on fire. The hand peice ran pretty rough but it worked just fine until it vibrated itself to peices -- not dramatically, it just kept "unscrewing" itself until I noticed that I didn't need to twist it to get it back together. I just got in a Foredom brand #30 handpiece that cost just a little less than this whole set up and it is a direct swap with what came in the origonal box. The one that came with it lasted the better part of the year with hard daily use. There is no need to bet on replacing it unless you are using a flex shaft to make a living or something. I just wanted people to know that if it does break, you should be able to get one that will last a long time if you are willing to pay enough for a number 30, even though you can't afford to buy the more expensive machine all in one shot. The foot control is light and is easy to kick around by accident. However, it does what it is supposed to do and really, how much do you expect at this price level? If you have to have a professional machine you are hopefully making professional dollars to buy it with. If you have hobby dollars like I do, this is a mighty fine choice.
Awesome after fix.Dec 31, 2011
By Pejutah I bought one, and it was broken on arrival. It took blowing at least two pieces of sterling jewelry prior to realizing it wasn't technique!
Wrote Grizzly and they had another out to me within a week. Been a year, and it's going strong. Love it!
