While trying different options for moving product (rv refrigerators) at work, this was one of 4 suction cups I purchased. Not only does this not stick to much of anything, there is flash all around the sealing surface, making it nearly impossible to function. At this point, it is a funny looking paper weight. Buy the The Astro Pneumatic 9038 Suction Cup 6-inch, see my review there.

The suction cups work great for a camera platform, but it is hard to mount all 4 cups on a car, since most cars have curving surfaces, I recommend the 2 cup model for camera use, with a safety line. The 2 cup model can even be hard on some windshields to mount. I find that the 4 cup model sits at home a lot.

works, and very inexpensive. gets 3 stars for quality but 4 stars when considering the affordable price.
con:
won't last very long under hard use.
I bought this to take the from glass off an imac. it works perfectly for this. it hold the glass reliably and is totally secure. gives an nice spread out pull so there is no strain.
the plastic levers that pull back on the rubber suction cups are flimsy for the amount of force they require. I think they will last hundreds of uses but eventually snap as the plastic ages or the metal pivots wear into it. But it gets the job done.
it's actually overkill for the job I put it to, but it was about the same price and the 2 suction cup mode.
It can also pick up[ a large window as well.

I purchased the Grizzly 4 head suction cup to temporarily hold a Genturi on the side of my motorhome. I was looking for a way to mount the genturi without having to drill holes in the wall and this thing did just that. It attaches to the side of the motorhome very easily and holds the weight of the genturi tube. It works perfectly.
