Jorgensen 16652 Hold Down ClampApr 29, 2010
By Oakworks The clamps are light weight and reasonably strong, however I had trouble clamping soft wood such as pine or cypress without making an imprint in the surface. The hard surface of the clamp does not grip well without applying excessive pressure. The cam mechanism does not afford much up and down distance and constantly adjusting it for various thickness wood is inefficient.
Works well, easy to useOct 10, 2011
By anonymous These work great on my B&D workmate. There are lightweight, easy to use and quick to setup. The clamp has about a 3" reach from post to clamp end. The top toggle is a bit confusing, it hard to tell which way is tighten. The plastic clamp also flexes quite a bit under pressure. The grip is nowhere near as secure as a metal vise, but good enough for working 1" thick MDF.
I would worry about plastic but it is JorgensenDec 22, 2010
By Gary L. Iverson, Sr. These are quite unique and if you already have 3/4" holes in your work bench for bench dogs, then this will be a perfect match. These are well thought out and work well. The price is reasonable and offer some good versatility. Yes, I would buy them again.
