Stuck in the middleAug 20, 2009
By StainlessSteel I Purchased this guard for my Unisaw after looking at various other guards and came down to this, and the Biesmeyer. I chose the HTC over the Biesmeyer from a cost stand point of $ 100.00 + more over the Brett Guard. After reading the reviews I had found some of my fellow reviewers had issues with insrtuctions/assembly in which I had to some degree and only slowed my progress to completion down slightly. All in all this product is very well made and I am pleased with it, why only 4 stars?? Becuase(today)the price is $100.00 less than what I had paid. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.

Very nice productAug 18, 2009
By woodworker Without a doubt one great guard for the table saw. Once the unit is installed it is very easy to use and work with. The unit is well built and sturdy and swivels nicely out of the way for specific cuts.
Some downsides to this guard are without a doubt the instructions. The instructions are ridiculously bad, I found myself reading and re-reading them trying to make heads or tails about them. Installation wasn't that bad once I figured out what the instructions were trying to tell me what do. This fence installs nicely with a tablesaw equipped with the Biesemeyer fence. Other minor cons are the flipdown kickback teeth, I find when using them with mdf they don't work to good, as well as if you turn the knob to much the flip down teeth need to be reset.
Overall a nice product and I would recommend it.
