Lathe Mobile BaseMar 16, 2007
By Charles McCoy The only reason for this review is to comment on the excellent quality of the HTC base. After using it a few times, I'm questioning the advisability of having a lathe set up to be mobile but that's a different topic and my limited space gives me no choice if I want to use a lathe. Assembly was easy and typical of HTC products and perfectly fit the machine it was made for.

lathe on wheelsMay 31, 2010
By crumpitt this base unit just gives wheels to your jet 1236 lathe which is already on a stand to begin with. So if you really need to move it out of the way all the time, here you go. Otherwise (and if you have a benchtop model like the 1220 or 1014, you'll want jet's stand here: Jet 708354 JML-S Adjustable Mini Lathe Stand

Not what it appearsJan 10, 2008

"wood working"
I ordered this base thinking that it was every thing in the picture except the lathe it self. When it came in all that it was is the very bottom part that has the wheels. The part that the lathe bolts to is not included. You have to have your own stand that sits in the very bottom part that is in the picture. If you don't have a stand for it to fit in then it won't work. The stand that comes with the lathe won't even bolt to the bottom mobil part with out drilling your own holes. They should show the bottom part of the base that you get by itself in the picture. It is not worth the price. I will send it back.

Strong and handy but that is not what I wanted reallyMay 23, 2007
By Jesus M. Barbosa Arabda I get confused... I Thought by the picture that the product was the Wood lathe instead of the Base... so now I do not know what to do whit this base... could You please change the picture in order to avoid this confusions, maybe if you separate the picture (the base from the Wood lathe)...
The base is strong, and very handy... sorry I can use it !!
