Great knife jig for medium to large kitchen knifesMar 12, 2009

Jet 708019 KJ-1 jig for JSSG-10- Wet Sharpener This jig works great for knifes from about 4 to 12 inches in length. When you try to sharpen smaller knives like pocket knives the jig does not have enough clearance between the grinding wheel and the jig and you wind up grinding the jig instead of the knife. I use it for 4 to 12 inch knives and it woorks great.
Works OKAug 23, 2009
By Mister C I guess this works OK with the JET sharpener but for the Grizzly, the jaws are just too thick to get the proper angle on small knives. I was told the you can use old planer blades between the knife and jaws to get the correct angle but I find that the set sold by Grizzly works far better.

Worked WellApr 23, 2008
By William Taylor Was able to restore the factory edge on my high end knives. Suprised me that it held and tracked so well. The only thing I do not like about the JET system is you have to watch the DVD (the DVD demonstration is a very cool and useful feature) in order to figure out the system. There is no book so you better have a DVD player at hand. The edge is slightly hollow-grind because it is a round wheel. I would recommend the system to someone who is serious about an edge or wants to start a sharpening business. For me it was money well spent, but I can't stand a dull edge.
