Most people are going to buy this for the fingernail profile tool, since those of us with the expendable income to purchase an item like this are probably turning bowls. (As opposed to "real" stuff, like table legs.) A correctly ground fingernail profile, like the espresso "god shot," is definitely a hit or miss endeavor that may cause premature hair loss. BUT, a jig will make it easy, right? Not so fast. First of all, the knobs that hold the jig fixtures in place will hit your grinder when you adjust them unless you put about 6 inches of wood underneath your grinder first. After doing so, the regular grinding platform fixture is too far away from the wheel to be of any use. But hey, you can still use the fingernail jig, right? Yea, well, mine was so poorly put together that it held my gouges at a slanted angle, producing a slanted fingernail grind. Hard to explain, but fwiw, I purchased the wolverine fixture and it works perfectly. So that's why it gets two stars. You can use the wolverine fingernail fixture with it. So it's not a complete waste, I guess.

I agree with the first reviewer. This is poorly made stuff. There are no manual. All jigs don't have gage nor measurment. Don't even try sharping bowl gouge on it.

I struggled with choosing this sharpening set over the One-Way Wolverine. I'm glad I chose PSI. Definitely cheaper by the time one were to buy all the various One-Way attachments and seems to be every bit as good quality. Highly recommended.

Precision Sharpening System for Lathe Chisels - Does not work well with Delta Shopmaster Bench Grinder due to curve of base. Still trying to work it out.

In short, the directions are aweful and trying to resolve the issues from the directions with PSI customer service was useless and frustrating. If one is going to buy this system, count on learning how to use it without the help of the directions or PSI customer service.
