Very happy!Jan 03, 2007

During the set-up of this machine I inadvertantly left a couple of screws on the conveyor. I started the sander and the screws went through, tearing strips out of the conveyor belt. The sanding drum wasn't hurt. I called Palmgren and talked to a nice guy who promptly sent me a new conveyor belt AND a new sandpaper strip for the drum!
On top of that the sander works like a dream! You can't get better customer service than that!

Palmgren Drum Sander ReviewNov 24, 2008
By Farno 3 best features: height adjustment is via table rather than overhead gantry so latter stays in alignment; greater weight translates to heavier components, EX: drive belt adjusters (You'll know the diff. if you've worked with light stamped metal adjusters.); has built-in dust collector although it still could use a vacuum.
only "bad" feature: I can't find 3" X 84" precut adhesive strips so I cut my own.
Summary: heavy, quiet, strong and priced with lesser machines.
