Eyeshields do work well, but they are heavy and the installation hardware is too lightweight to tighten sufficiently to keep them from sagging. The plexiglas shields that come with the grinder are more than sufficient for casual use. Consider upgrading the hardware, with larger bolts and wingnuts if you purchase this.
