Awesome!Sep 28, 2006
By K. Gunderson We initially purchased one of the 92101 compressors for our service technician to use when doing punch list items for our residential contracting company. The ability to walk into an occupied residence, without the cumbersome larger compressor/ hose/ cords etc. , was the main reason we wanted to try this unit out. The added benefit turned out to be how quiet the unit is when operating. Although it is not a rapid fire machine, it served its purpose well for random pieces of trim or a cabinet detail we needed to apply. We have since purchased three more of the units for our project managers to carry with them in case of a last minute punch list type item or small trim detail that doesn't require a lot of nailing to install. For our applications, the product has performed very well.

OBSOLETE, DISCONTINUED ?Feb 02, 2009
By Norm This unit quit after one battery charge(mechanical sounds, then nothing). I sent it in for warranty coverage and the person on the phone asked another person whether they still warranted them. They had me send it in at my expense, and after 9 days I called them for a status. They said they had the unit but had not looked at it yet. That was 6 days ago...the saga continues. i would love to just get my money back.

Love the PortabilitySep 27, 2006
By Maureen I have used this little compressor for about three weeks now and it has performed very well indeed! I love that it's lightweight and battery operated, makes it very portable. We also have a larger compressor (6 gallon?) that my husband uses for big projects, but this compressor is much better suited for small jobs. So far with this compressor we have re-upholstered our dining room chairs, installed trim around the new laminate floor in the small kitchen, and repaired our wood fence.
Pros:
*Works with other nailers - we used a Bostitch nailer-stapler and borrowed a friend's Hitachi finish nailer.
*Battery operated and lightweight
*Quiet compared to our bigger compressor
*Recharger has a red and green light to tell you when battery is charged
*Includes two batteries - I use one while recharging the other
Cons:
*Wait between shots of a couple seconds for the compressor to build up pressure. (Not a big deal though, you just can't use it for a big job.)
*Won't replace our big compressor because of limited number of shots per battery charge
The battery lasted long enough for each of my projects. The compressor performs as advertised and I will definitely consider this for a couple people on my gift list.

Love it!Dec 18, 2006
By Bickerstaff This compressor works great! I need it for small jobs around the house, and it's a much better alternative to having to drag the big compressor around just to tack on a few nails at a time. The battery has so far lasted through building two simple workshop shelves and tacking on some light wood rails to a bookshelf. It's not that slow either. I can make a shot per second (I'm new at woodworking), and it's kept up with me just fine.
Highly recommended for light jobs and smaller nails (I've only used it with 1.5", 18-gauge nails so far).

Great for the Home WorkshopOct 04, 2005
By 3buttonMouse I like this unit. It's lightweight, in several senses. I got several batteries, and I keep recycling them through the charger when working for long stretches. The brad nailer is a very precise unit, no jams so far. The compressor broke after a week, but customer service was superb, very happy on that score. Nailed up a cedar closet, made a few picture frames. I'm keeping it! There's also a version that's a little cheaper, without the battery feature. That one would be a more suitable comparison to the units that tether you to a huge, rolling compressor. By the way the Palmgren is relatively quiet when its compressor kicks in.
