Exclusively for the Proxxon micro lathe. and plastic.Jul 14, 2010
I bought this chuck because I needed something to use with my Jet mini. I guess I got too excited by the price and didn't read through the page as well as I usually do because I missed the fact that this chuck is plastic. All plastic. And I'm pretty sure it's not self centering for what it's worth. I couldn't screw it onto the jet so I didn't get to try it out. I was really hoping and looking for a 3 or 4 jaw chuck that would be self centering and would hold up to my use. I'll keep looking. I hear psi carries a great mini chuck... If you have the proxxon micro lathe, maybe this chuck will be perfect for you tho.
