 Does NOT Work with the Proxxon IB/E Professional GrinderSep 15, 2009

This looks like a quality item, but please note that it does not work with the Proxxon IB/E Professional Grinder. I ordered this 3-jaw chuck from Amazon when I ordered a Proxxon 38481 rotary tool for my workplace, and was disappointed to find that the #28941 3-jaw chuck does not work with the #38481 grinder. It screws on fine but there are not enough screw threads protruding from the grinder to make the 3-jaw chuck close correctly. (Users of old model Dremel tools might remember a similar problem with Dremel's 3-jaw chuck.) I don't fault Proxxon for this -- it clearly states on the package for the 3-jaw chuck that it "Fits all MICROMOT rotary tools, except the engraver GG 12 and the Professional Grinder IB/E." However, I recall ordering this 3-jaw chuck after seeing it listed on Amazon as an item related to the 38481 grinder. It is not. Don't make the same mistake I did.

I too bought this chuck with IB/E, Amazon should state clearly that it does not fit GC 12 nor IB/E in the Product Description. I am rating it with the least star to catch the potential buyers' attention with the poor rating.

As you may have read in the other reviews, it does not work with the 110v models, but I'm here to tell you it will NOT work in any model. I have the Micromot 12v system and it threads on the tool just fine but it will not tighten to close on anything! There are not enough threads on the chuck. What are they thinking at Proxxon? This is useless.

This chuck was grouped with the Proxxon professional tool by Amazon, but if you read the notes that comes wih this keyless chuck it says clearly that it DOESN'T WORK with the Proxxon professional rotary tool. I ended up buying it because I didn't read everything beforehand; got it home and was very disappointed; don't know if returning it is worth the trouble.

Grrr me too! It seems Amazon needs to fix this up. It is probably the fault of customers like us, who continually buy it and amazon's web computer just puts them together.
