 Solid roughing gougeMar 01, 2008

I have used this roughing gouge now for a few months and am very happy with it. It holds it edge well, and has some nice heft to it so very little vibration gets back to my hands even when roughing 4" square hard maple.

It works great but the handle is a little short for me. That being said the quality and workmanship is very good. I have had good luck with Sorby tools and this one has been right on thus far. Hartville Tool sent me the tracking info an hour after I placed the order and it arrived on time.
