4very servicable hole sawJul 08, 2011
By A. P. Garrett "ubi_caritas"
I purchased this tool years ago (10? 15?) and have used it anytime I needed an off-size or extra large hole drilled. The blades are a little difficult to adjust in that when the nut is loosened, they wobble just a bit, so it's something of a trial and error to get the exact diameter you want - guestimate, tighten the nut, measure, repeat if not correct. It is particularly useful for sheet goods such as plywood. I am forced to buy another one now because, given my past success with the product, I tried to use it on sheet stainless steel. Do not attempt this, it melts the blades, not the stainless steel. BUT, if I had used it as intended, I would still be using the one I purchased years ago.

The first one received had metal part that came out package after opening and when adjusting the blades, one of them was loose. It and the second one I received appeared to be refurbished. I guess there are no new ones out there.

The second time I used it,after ruining a door I figured out you couldn't get the nut tight enough to hold blades in position.I broke one blade off because it came loose while drilling.I guess I'll try a vermont american, since I can't find one at any local stores.

A very fast hole saw just dial and drill, I am well pleased. I choose buying from AMAZON for price and dependable service.
