5Much better then the SB18AAug 23, 2011

I had this battery for over 2 years and it still holds a perfect charge. This is much better then the defective SB18A that has a lifespan of only 6 months.

5It chops, it slices...they're gonna love your nuts.Sep 04, 2011

It's a battery. It fits Skil tools and when properly maintained will survive several years of hobbies and honey-do lists. The part that I like the most is that if you need a hammer that happens to be at the bottom of the ladder you are standing on; this Skil battery will take care of just about any nail with little more than a couple of scratches to the case. If you are handy with a torx screw driver you may be able to open this battery up and replace the NiCd inside when they just won't hold a charge any longer. Take it from me though, you also need patience...I ended up taking a sledge hammer to one to finally get it open to see the simple sub-C class batteries inside (which weren't damaged even from a twelve pound sledge).

Let's just say it should hold up to any jobs you through at it.
