Because water stones are softer than other stones, the surface is worn away and fresh abrasive is continually exposed. The result is a consistently fast cutting surface. Keep these generously sized, professional quality stones soaking in water and re-flatten occasionally on a flat abrasive surface. | | | Features: | |
• Fine grit finishing waterstone for polished, sharp edges.
• Small size is handy and economical. 3/4" x 2 1/2" x 7 1/4".
• Includes stand.

Decent cheap water stoneJun 07, 2010
By Kevin O'brien this is a nice starter stone for someone who wants to learn how to use a Japanese water stone. it polishes knives very nicely, and if you know how to use a water stone then it works very well for sharpening and polishing knives.
