ONEWAY has spent considerable time and effort to develop a system which will consistently produce sharp, repeatable geometries on turning tools for the wood turner. Three tools that are very popular and useful are the fingernail shape, the traditional bowl gouge and the side grind configurations. These shapes however are difficult both to grind and to maintain. This single jig will produce every shape from the first mentioned fingernail grind right up to the side grind and everything in between to suit your needs. | | | Features: | |
• create a side grind on your bowl gouges
• create a fingernail grind on your spindle gouges
• quick and easy to use
• black coating to protect from rusting
• designed to be used with the Wolverine Grinding Jig

What a great product!Sep 23, 2007
By Michael Dromey When I first started turning,I sharpened my tools by hand. Once I started using this tool, decreased my sharpening time. I also don't know how I ever made it with out it.

works as advertisedMay 13, 2007
By Sharon Not much to say other than it works as advertised. Didn't spend the money for the wolverine jig, just the vari-grind with my home made jig. Works perfectly.
Wolverine Vari Grind AttachmentAug 10, 2011
By vwoodcock I purchased a Wolverine Vari Grind Attachment about a month ago and it works great. I've been able to keep my turning chisels sharp and ground correctly. I've also sharpened my kitchen knives, and my old pocket knife. The jig is very easy to set up and use and it gives perfect results repeatedly. No special skills are required. I think if you are considering purchasing a lathe, you should also purchase this jig and a good bench grinder to go with it. Excellent tool.

What a joy to use sharp lathe tools!Dec 30, 2009
By Older and Wiser in Illinois I wanted to get into wood turning but my initial results weren't what I had expected. I was frustrated with trying to sharpen my tools and after some research I found the Oneway Wolverine system. I really didn't want to spend the money, but what a difference it made with my wood turning. I now was able to put and keep sharp edges on my tools with very little effort. It's hard to describe how much more fun it is to turn with truly sharp tools! I'm certainly glad I got it!
